Donegan joined Heavy Reading after five years at Nortel Networks, where he was a senior manager of strategic planning for the company's wireless business – spanning GSM, CDMA, UMTS, WiMax, and other wireless technologies. Prior to Nortel, Donegan spent two years in business research for Motorola's Corporate Strategy Office in EMEA and two years as a wireless analyst for the Yankee Group.
As a journalist, Donegan was deputy editor of Public Network Europe from 1990-1995 and editor of Mobile Communications International from 1995-1997. He holds a B.A. in industrial relations and politics from the University of Kent at Canterbury. Donegan is based in the U.K. and can be reached at Donegan@heavyreading.com.
Prior to joining Juniper, Jan held a position as Sr. Director at Extreme Networks being responsible for the Field Marketing organization in EMEA and South America.
In his first 15 years of his career Jan held various positions at Alcatel Netherlands and AT&T-NSI. Jan holds a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering.
As part of product marketing he has been responsible for driving NSN Transport/IP end-to-end vision, solutions and strategies covering topics such as mobile backhauling evolution and IP/Optical integration.
Based out of NSN’s Silicon Valley Innovation Center he is currently responsible for creating and managing innovative solutions in the Mobile Broadband IP Connectivity segment working in close cooperation with NSN strategic partner Juniper Networks. João has a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering from São Paulo University and a Master in Business Administration with technology innovation focus from the same University.
