Maor Leon is a product line manager for ECI Telecom’s next-generation packet-optical platforms. He has 12 years of experience in the telecom industry (SDH, Ethernet and DWDM), most of them within ECI, where he has held various positions such as Data Expert and Pre-Sales Manager for Americas, focusing in the Andean and Central America market, including leading the “Internexa South con DWDM” project in Chile, Brazil and Argentina , a DWDM deployment over 8,000 km. Maor also pursued product marketing, strategic marketing and business planning. Maor holds a BA in Computer Science from the Open University in Tel Aviv.

Over the past 18 months, 100G networks have moved from the theoretical to the early adoption phase and are now moving firmly into the mainstream, particularly in the core.
