Morten has exclusively focused on video compression and video transport while at Cisco working closely with content providers as well as service providers. As a Product Manager of the Adaptive Bit Rate technology within the Cisco Videoscape Unity architecture, Morten and his team are responsible for the Multi-Screen file and live based encoding and transcoding.

Scott Labrozzi
Scott is a widely recognized expert in the streaming media industry with over two decades of experience in leading technology and product development involving video technologies. In the early 90s he worked at Sun Microsystems developing software and hardware solutions for video processing and encoding. As co-founder and later VP of Engineering at Osprey Technologies he led the research and development for all video software and hardware products that achieved wide industry recognition in the early years of streaming media. As co-founder and CTO for Inlet Technologies Scott became intimately involved in the evolution of Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) solutions. Now a Principal Engineer at Cisco, Scott continues to lead architectures related to Multi-screen ABR encoding and packaging.

In the evolution of the delivery of Live and On-Demand Video services, the industry is continuing to define the next generation of video processing technologies and delivery methods. This webinar will cover the video encoding evolution, starting with a brief overview of the shift from MPEG-2 to H.264/AVC to ABR and then focusing on the new and emerging next-gen video standards, including HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) and MPEG DASH.
